Research based on the Sleep Heart Health study funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and conducted by lead author Dr. Daniel Gottlieb of Boston University Medical School was reported in this week's Archives of Internal Medicine, a publication of the American Medical Association. When compared to subjects who slept 7-8 hours per night, the study found that among 1,486 patients between the
